Spearhead Invited to House of Commons

We’ve been sup­port­ing the Spear­head ini­tia­tive for years now. In fact, our very own Sophia Hutch­ings came to us through Spear and is now going from strength to strength as part of our account man­age­ment team.

Well, it seems we’re not the only ones to recog­nise the great work they do. Stephen Timms MP has invited Spear to the House of Com­mons to cel­e­brate the trans­for­ma­tional employ­ment ini­tia­tives they have achieved in London.

In short, Spear­head helps busi­nesses cre­ate real social change through the recruit­ment of entry-level can­di­dates who, while com­ing from dis­ad­van­taged back­grounds, pos­sess gen­uine abil­ity and poten­tial.

Rupert’s B2B Marketing Magazine Mebcast

B2B Mar­ket­ing Mag­a­zine is host­ing a web­cast which aims to help you max­imise lead gen­er­a­tion, nur­tur­ing and con­ver­sion by exam­in­ing the role that live events can play in effec­tive demand gen activ­i­ties. In addi­tion, it will pro­vide prac­ti­cal guid­ance on core aspects of the process.

What’s more, our very own Media Direc­tor, Rupert Denny, will be dis­cussing the ben­e­fits of online events (webi­nars) in a demand gen­er­a­tion strat­egy using some indus­try case studies.

The webi­nar will take place on May 10th 2012 at 3pm GMT.

Plotting a Course to South by Southwest

To offi­cially launch our excit­ing new global prac­tice, Tech.YR, we hosted a party at the annual SXSW (South by South­west) event in Austin, Texas. This fes­ti­val of mul­ti­me­dia encom­passes film, music and inter­ac­tive. Nat­u­rally, our inter­est is in the latter.

SXSW Inter­ac­tive has built a rep­u­ta­tion for being a breed­ing ground of new cre­ative and emerg­ing tech­nolo­gies. And only by mak­ing sure our knowl­edge of the tech indus­try is state-of-the-art, can we com­bine it with oh-so-clever cre­ative think­ing to pro­duce the insight­ful and effec­tive work our clients expect.
