Digital Couch No. 12 #digitalcouch

Twelve months in a year, twelve posts of the Digital Couch. It has a nice symmetry to it.

For the final post of the year, I have been trawling the interweb looking for stuff that should keep you entertained in these last few days before a bit of a break.

So, sit back, click away and enjoy.

Nice and cosy

You know what they say, if you’re not in a Prius, you’re killing bunny rabbits and flowers.

In the last few years, the Toyota Hybrid has become something of a cult with a following of über-loyal drivers.

Digital Couch No. 11 #digitalcouch

I’m no scrooge, but there is something insidious about certain Christmas campaigns.

Now ‘getting into the spirit of things’ is great — I think it is a brilliant idea — but to have the word Christmas in every second sentence to convince customers that “without X it just won’t be the same”, seems to prey on consumer fears rather than embrace a sense of camaraderie and fun.

As such, the campaigns I’ve chosen this week get people excited and create a memorable experience.

Grab your eggnog and read on!

Digital Couch No. 10 #digitalcouch

If you can read the above, then you should be using this version of Google for your daily search requirements. If you didn’t understand the above, then clicking on this link will be akin to changing your smartphone to Arabic and forgetting how to turn it back… 3nj0y!

Finally, a thank you.

It’s amazing how quickly society moves on. The snow comes in and everyone acts surprised that they didn’t prepare for it. “We’ll be ready next year!” we all say, but then, 12 months later, we are all surprised again.
